About this product

SPECIALCHEM sandstone impregnant is a professional impregnant designed to protect sandstone. Using nano-sized silicon compounds, this product effectively hydrophobicizes both external and internal surfaces. Nanoparticles penetrate deep into the stone structure and create a long-lasting protective barrier against moisture, dirt, and harmful atmospheric factors and UV rays. This product is recommended for all types of sandstone – it not only protects against corrosion and weathering, but also limits the growth of moss and lichen. The nano coating maintains the full vapor permeability of the material, without changing the appearance or feel of the surface. The modern formula guarantees a strong hydrophobic effect without clogging the natural capillaries of the stone. This is one of the most effective means of protecting not only sandstone, but also other mineral surfaces in construction.

Intended use: Intended for protecting sandstone and other absorbent stones – walls, fences, floors, facades, monuments.

Product information

Instructions for use:

Use safety glasses and gloves.
Use at plus temperatures (preferably above 10 degrees).
Ensure that the surface is dry for at least 3 hours after application, protect from rain (10 hour period is recommended).
Before impregnating, test it on an inconspicuous area.
Protect exposed surfaces (especially glass, metal) with a protective film.
If the products get on uncovered surfaces, immediately wipe them with a wet cloth or rinse with water.
The surface must be clean and dry.
Use a sprayer, avoid streaks – distribute evenly over the surface to be coated.
Apply only as much as the stone will absorb. Spread the excess with a brush or wipe it off with a clean, dry cloth.
Allow the impregnating agent to dry completely.
1-2 coats are recommended – “wet-on-wet” method (apply the second coat before the first one is completely dry). Wash tools under running water immediately after work.
