About this product

SPECIALCHEM WOOD IMPREGNANT is a new generation product developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Wood Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Turin. It is designed to protect and impregnate untreated or stained wood without leaving a glossy varnish layer and maintaining the natural appearance of the wood.

Thanks to properly selected ingredients and nanoparticles, the impregnator works in two stages: after penetrating deep into the surface, it first creates a water and other liquid droplet repelling effect (hydrophobia) and prevents dirt and graying from building up.

The silane content and the hydrophobicity itself help maintain the natural color of the wood and its durability for longer, especially in autumn and spring, when the temperature rises and falls below 0 °C during the day.

SPECIALCHEM WOOD COATING may slightly change the color of wood. The effect of impregnation on most wood species lasts for approximately 3-5 years, but in areas of more intensive use (depending on the degree of surface wear and contact with friction), impregnation may need to be renewed more often.

The surface protection provided by this product makes the surface extremely easy to clean and maintain. Most dirt is washed away by rain, but it is recommended to clean the remaining dirt regularly with high-pressure water.

Using this product significantly extends the beautiful, aesthetic appearance and service life of the surface.

Usage recommendations

SPECIALCHEM WOOD COATING is used to protect:

Log houses and facades of wooden buildings;
Garden furniture;
Wooden fences and barriers;
Gazebos and wooden architecture;
Wooden sculptures and other products made of untreated or stained wood.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

step – prepare the surface – remove algae, moss, lichen and stains. The wood must be clean, dry and free of grease (not coated with waxes, oils, silicones, etc.)
step – Protect the elements that will not be covered. Cover the areas that you will not be impregnating with film (e.g. glass, metal, stone surfaces, etc.)
step – Apply the impregnator – use undiluted, apply with an HVLP sprayer, garden sprayer, roller or brush.
step – dipping (optional) – you can also dip the wooden elements into the preparation. One layer is enough.
step – Drying and Protection – Leave to dry for at least 4 hours, and for about 4 hours, protect from rain.

Product efficiency: 50 to 80 ml/m²

Product volume: 1 liter

Durability: Depending on the intensity of surface wear – from 3 to 5 years.

Safety and storage: Follow basic occupational health and safety rules. Store at a temperature of 5-30°C. Keep out of reach of the children. Protect from frost.

ATTENTION!

Apply only one or two coats using the “wet on wet” method. Distribute coating evenly and wipe off any excess of the product, that is not absorbed into the surface after 10 minutes.
